Our Process at SSFS
We buy wood poles that are 20 feet in length and process them down to premium firewood. Once the logs enter our yard the firewood never touches the ground. The logs are laid on runners to keep them off the ground.
Rounding Process
From there the 20 foot poles are placed on a custom built bucking table where they are cut into 16” rounds.
The rounds are then placed on a table conveyor that feeds them into a single wedge vertical splitter.
Splitting & Loading Process
From here they are individually split down to the perfect size firewood.The firewood then goes onto an elevator and up into a dump trailer.
